His Kokua Festival that benefits his Kokua Foundation set a new standard for social activism, and Jack Johnson’s newest CD, Best of the Kokua Festival, highlights some of the most memorable performances from the highly lauded music fest.
Included in the live album are classic Kokua Festival performances by Willie Nelson, Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, Ben Harper, Dave Matthews, Jackson Browne, as well as Ziggy and Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley.
While there is no Earth Day weekend festival this year, the sentiment continues through this CD—sales proceeds from Best of the Kokua Festival will go toward the Kokua Foundation.
