March 7-9

The Honolulu Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Events include the Friendship Gala (admission) March 7 at the Hawai’i Convention Center, Honolulu Rainbow Ekiden, a race through Waikiki on March 8 and the Grand Parade on March 9 followed by the Nagaoka Fireworks Show in the skies over Waikiki Beach. HAWAII POPS PRESENTS “DRIVEN TO DANCE”

WCC DUKE KAHANAMOKU CHALLENGE PRESENTED BY HILTON HAWAIIAN VILLAGE AND HILTON GRAND VACATIONS CLUB
April 13

Paddlers take to the waters of the Duke Kahanamoku Beach and Lagoon at the Hilton Hawaiian Village for this spirited all-day community event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. that also features makahiki games. This fundraiser for Waikiki Community Center starts off with a double-hulled canoe procession, followed by the competition, ending with the awards presentation. The event also features a craft and Hawaiian artist fair, non-stop entertainment and food booths. Proceeds from the Duke Kahanamoku Challenge go to the Center’s programs and services for families, children and senior adults who live, work and visit Waikiki. April 13
