Sweet Serenity

Good luck trying to waltz past The Cookie Corner without being lured in by the aroma of ooey-gooey chocolate chips emerging from the oven. Just one whiff, and memories of milk and cookies at grandma’s will have you buying a batch sprinkled with aloha.

“All of our cookies are baked fresh daily right here on O‘ahu,” shares Cheryl Werth, district manager. “We do not use any preservatives—we use 100 percent butter in our products and chocolate chips. Only the finest of ingredients go into our items.”

Bite into tangy key lime, lemon and liliko‘i fruit bars for an exotic burst of tropical flavors. Or, indulge in decadent white, dark and milk chocolate-dipped shortbreads laced with macadamia nuts. Soon you’ll understand why Cookie Corner is a repeat “Best of the Best” recipient in Star-Advertiser‘s Hawaii’s Best Awards for its delightful Hawaiian desserts.

“Well, simply put, we are a local favorite, thank you!” Werth exclaims.

Nestled in Sheraton Waikiki, the bakery houses a healthy supply of travel-friendly packaged goodies. Take home a signature red and white round tin for $22.50, or nibble through a smaller cylindrical of confections for $12.50.

So follow the luscious scent of sweets to Cookie Corner.
