Want to check out one of Waikiki’s newest boutiques? The Sea Closet, open now for less than a year, is a hidden gem located on the corner of Kai’olu Street and Kuhio Avenue above local cafĂ© Tilia Exquisite Aloha. Shige Fujii, owner of The Sea Closet, carries a variety of fashionable items in his shop. When Fujii came up with the store name, he envisioned the closet of a beach-town girl. “We sell a lot of jumpsuits and tops. We have a lot of bikinis, jeans… we have everything,” says Ayano Nishimura, marketing manager of The Sea Closet. “We have a lot of brands that are from Los Angeles and Australia.

It’s a mixture of L.A.-causal and Hawaiian-resort style.” Employees at The Sea Closet not only assist customers but serve as inspiration for them as well. “We put a lot of effort for the outfit of the day that they wear,” Nishimura says. For new additions to your beachtown girl wardrobe, stop by The Sea Closet today.
