These Outrigger Reef corner suites offer endless ocean vistas and warm Hawaiian charm.

For easy luxury that captures all there is to love about Hawai‘i’s enchanting scenery and culture, look no farther than the deluxe one-bedroom oceanfront suites at Outrigger Reef on the Beach. These five suites are situated at the building’s southwest corner, with stunning vistas in two directions. Facing one way, look right out over Waikiki Beach below and beyond to sweeping views of the Pacific.

Facing the other, enjoy more ocean and beach views (as if you could ever get enough), with the iconic presence of majestic Diamond Head as a sort of grand finale—the sweet condensed-milk topping on a sublime shave ice, if you will. Either way, fall asleep to the sound of waves breaking on the shore.

Each suite includes three sets of floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open onto private lanais, so you can take full advantage of your situation. Enjoy front-row seats for O‘ahu’s memorable sunsets and Waikiki’s Friday-night fireworks (from the Hilton Hawaiian Village).

With a separate master bedroom, a double sleeper sofa in the living room, two full bathrooms, two televisions, and a table for four, this suite accommodates extra guests with ease. Extended families or other groups can book additional adjoining rooms with ocean views so everyone can enjoy the many pleasures of Waikiki together, then retire in comfort when it’s time to recharge.

Both baths have granite countertops with contemporary vessel sinks and tile floors. The master bath’s oversized shower sits opposite a large window—open the plantation shutters for sea views while you shampoo. Plantation shutters also open from the master bath to the bedroom so you can share its vistas and contemplate the endless Pacific while you soak in the jetted tub.

Modern-day navigators of the Polynesian Voyaging Society named these five suites after constellations used in traditional navigation—each name and the story behind it can be read on a wooden plaque just inside the front door. The decor features other nods to voyaging and Hawaiian culture, including wooden outrigger paddles, framed hand-crafted feather lei, light fixtures designed with subtle hints of pineapples and gourds, and classic tapa-print bedspreads. The island atmosphere is brought to life by warm-hued woods and the colors of sun-kissed sand and ocean surf.

The nightly cost for a deluxe one-bedroom oceanfront suite is $2,499. Larger parties can add up to three additional adjoining ocean-front and ocean-view rooms. $5,529 per night nets you the full four-bedroom configuration—more than 2,000 square feet of private Hawaiian retreat set just above the sand and surf.
