Get Crafty

If you’re looking to buy jewelry or local crafts, make sure you check out the Waikiki Artfest—an outdoor arts and crafts festival that happens one weekend a month at Kapi‘olani Park. Presented by the Handcrafters and Artisans Alliance, this free event features about 80 artists that sell a variety of products such as clothing, jewelry, wood products, ceramics, quilts, soaps, candles, and more. Like the participants at the Art on the Zoo Fence, the items on display at the Waikiki Artfest are made by the artisans themselves.

The event also features live music and food and is located at the Diamond Head side of Kapi‘olani Park, across the street from the Honolulu Zoo. The schedule varies but is usually held during the middle or last weekend of each month. For more information, call (808) 696-6717 or email tropicalcottons@aol.com.
