Sure, you can tweet about your Hawaiian vacation or update your Facebook status with pictures of your island getaway, but why not take time to send friends and family a thought-felt, handwritten letter recounting your travels? “Communicating online is so convenient these days, but there is little that can replace the distinct pleasure of holding a beautifully designed piece of stationery or convey the sentiment of a handwritten note,” says Stacey Nomura, owner of the newly opened Waikiki specialty paper boutique South Shore Paperie.
In addition to a selection of stationery, greeting cards and gifts from local lines such as Mozaic Paper, Emi Ink and Everything is Jake!, South Shore Paperie offers in-house design and letter-press services to its customers. Nomur’s own couture stationery suites Bradley & Lily Fine Stationery have garnered national attention from The Knot and are featured regularly in Pacific Wedding Magazine.
