A Theatrical Tour of the Islands

Get a seat at the longest-running lu’au in Waikiki.

It’s probably the most entertaining history lesson you’ll ever have. Creation—A Polynesian Journey explores the history and lore of the Pacific and its Polynesian cultures in one captivating show.

The show—Waikiki’s longest-running lu’au—takes audiences on a tour through Tahiti, New Zealand, Fiji, the Marquesas Islands, Samoa and of course, Hawai’i.

Staged five nights a week, Creation—A Polynesian Journey treats audiences to a spectacle of dance and performances by a talented and lavishly costumed cast. The performances are complemented by state-of-the-art audiovisuals that feature dramatic lighting and footage of volcanic eruptions, island landscapes and ocean scenes.

A cast of performers—who’ve been honored to perform at the White House—bring to life the stories and legends of the Polynesian cultures through song and dance. Thrill to the daring Samoan fire knife dancers or the intensity of the Maori haka; the graceful hula dancers mesmerize with their auana and kahiko dances, as will the energy and rhythms of the Tahitian performers.

Of course, no lu’au is complete without food, and Creation—A Polynesian Journey doesn’t disappoint. Guests choose between a premium deluxe or standard dinner. A cocktail seating is also available. The premium deluxe dinner includes a flower lei greeting, VIP seating, a four-course meal that includes filet mignon and lobster and two beverages of your choice. The standard dinner features a buffet selection that includes carved prime rib, baked chicken, sautéed mahi mahi, and choice of a mai tai, draft beer or soft drink. Cocktail shows offer a choice of two standard drinks or one exotic cocktail.

Who said history was boring?
