The locally grown variety show Society of Seven has been a mainstay at the Outrigger—and a main attraction in Waikiki—for decades. Considered among the best entertainment in town, the show got its start in the 1960s.

“It has evolved and members have come and gone, but the entertainment value still remains top-notch,” says Barbara Saito, who represents the group. “When it comes to longevity and variety and just excellent, excellent entertainment, I think Society of Seven is still on top.”

From Broadway tunes and contemporary hits to celebrity impersonations and humorous skits, you’ll find it all with the Society of Seven.

“They are really good, solid musicians first and foremost,” Saito says. “The audience goes absolutely nuts because their harmonies are so incredible.

“They also do a lot of hilarious audience engagement type of skits throughout the evening,” she adds.

Currently, the group’s featured performer is Arshiel—a local 17-year-old singer who has been impressing audiences with her big voice.

“She has an absolutely astounding voice,” Saito says. “Arshiel rips through Beyonce and Whitney Houston like nobody’s business, and she does a Celine Dion song that just wows the crowd.”

“We are very eager for visitors to come in and experience some of our down-home hospitality,” Saito says. “We have a lot of aloha for visitors, and we want to share that with them.”

The show runs Tuesday-Saturday. Seating begins at 7:30 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. For reservations or more information, call (808) 923-7469.
