Don’t let the name Gorilla in the Cafe scare you, this place is great if you’re on the go or want to chat with a friend over a cuppa joe. The menu offers a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, as well as teas and Italian sodas. At Gorilla in the Cafe, they only use 100 percent local coffee beans to brew their beverages, so while sipping on your coffee concoction, you can experience Hawaiian coffee at its finest. If you want a little treat to go along with your drink, this cafe offers a range of sandwiches (chicken pesto and eggplant parmesan are the most popular), baked goods and sweets. For those of you who jumped on the macaroon craze, they offer freshly made macaroons each morning. What makes this eatery even more special is the fact that the Korean actor Bae Yong-Joon owns it. Who knows, maybe you’ll be the lucky one to spot him visiting his cafe one day. If not, say “hi” to his photo hanging on the wall. Heck, take a photo of yourself next to it—as many customers do! Gorilla in the Cafe tote bags, tumblers and t-shirts are also available, as well as bags of coffee beans.
