Take a Hike!

Opened in late 2012, Hiking Hawaii Cafe has become the go-to place for healthy eaters. With vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free menu options, this café has quickly gained popularity. The menu features smoothies, pizzas, panini sandwiches, breakfast items and more. “The top-selling [item] is the açaí bowl, and then our pizzas are very popular,” says owner Crystal Evans. Another popular dish on the menu is the Italian Panini, which is filled with salami, tomato, basil, olive oil and fresh mozzarella.

The café’s chalkboard menu, comfy couch and welcoming staff make it the perfect place to unwind after a long day. According to Evans, they receive regular customers who enjoy just hanging out at the restaurant. But if you’d rather stay in than eat out, the café will bring the food to you. The café provides free delivery to customers in a walking distance.

Hiking Hawaii Cafe is also a big believer in fresh ingredients. “Everything’s made from scratch,” explains Evans. “We’re not giving it to a cook, we’re actually doing it ourselves. I also have an acre, so I grow a ton of kale, parsley [and] all our basil.”

Hiking Hawaii Cafe is a pet-friendly location that provides WiFi as well as hiking information. Since this café not only offers food, but hiking tours as well, it’s a great way to turn an ordinary day into an adventurous one.
