Mermaids of Hawaii offers photo shoots for all ages that turn you into a mermaid or merman for the day. They supply a variety of tails, tops and accessories in different sizes and colors that can fit newborns up to plus-size adults for this one-of-a-kind photo shoot.
Two years ago, Rebecca Corby, owner of Mermaids of Hawaii, turned a fun hobby of making mermaid tails and swimming in them into a business that does photo shoots, parties and mermaid appearances.
“…I found there were lot of other people who loved mermaids and wanted to become one too!” Corby says. “So I was inspired to share the mermaid love with others by offering our photo shoots. A lot of people just want fun photos in my beautiful tails and tops while they visit Hawai‘i, but I also do a lot of parties for local families. And I also sell the tails if people really want to get into it.”
“I’ve always been fascinated with the mermaid legend and concept,” Corby continues. “It’s the idea of living in the water and swimming freely all day. The ocean is so mysterious and beautiful, and being in water provides a weightless feeling. Swimming in one of my mermaid tails just makes it so much more amazing! You really feel like you’re meant to be in the sea.”
Mermaids of Hawaii offers free pick-up and drop-off in the Waikiki area, and there is an option to add a make-up artist to your shoot. Make a memory of you as a mermaid that will last forever!
