Pablo Coppola’s Fall 2014 debut collection as creative director for Bally is a delight; the accessories are a standout with clean and minimal lines. The ‘Gentlewoman’ bag— a perfectly structured, compact square bag with a corner cut off was inspired by a century-old Bally design detail called a gentleman’s corner, a notched corner on the heels of men’s shoes started by Bally. Coppola’s color palette for fall mixes neutral tans and grays with softer pastel tones of peach and yellow. Of course ‘Bally Red’ is in the mix, and super-luxe materials like crocodile, pony and suede are all featured. -S.H.
