Hawai‘i is often referred to as the happiest place in the world, leaving its many locals and visitors full of aloha spirit and smiling ear to ear. But why only wear that happy, Hawaiian smile on your face? At the new store Leanoguchi Creative Arts, you will find originally designed T-shirts and paintings, adorably clothed teddy bears, jewelry and more to bring the smile of Hawai‘i into your hale (home).

All store items feature designs from Japan’s famous artist Yasutaka Noguchi, who is known for his “Happy Palette” of colors and shapes. Store owner Kenneth Nakagawa strives to incorporate Noguchi’s happy and Hawaiian feel into Leanoguchi Creative Arts.

“Our store is bright, but relaxing in atmosphere because of his [Noguchi’s] arts,” Nakagawa shares. He anticipates that customers will love the T-shirts and teddy bears, but also the store’s assortment of coffees, pancake mixes and mochi waffles, all packaged with Noguchi’s art designs.

“It is really cute and original!” Kenneth exclaims.

Leanoguchi Creative Arts celebrated its grand opening at Pualeilani Atrium Shops this August. Make sure to stop by to put a smile on your face and some “Happy Palette” in your home.
