When it comes to Waikiki steak houses, Hy’s Steak House is a classic. An elegant fixture in the town’s dining scene for more than 38 years, Hy’s is known for its iconic Hawaiian kiawe wood grill that helps impart this restaurant’s aged USDA prime beef with its unique flavor.

However, Hy’s is much more than a great steak. Top-notch service and well-appointed dining rooms (including the new Executive Level, complete with a well-appointed Private Dining Room) only add to the restaurant’s ambiance.

Now, those looking for a taste of the Hy’s experience, or a tranquil place to unwind can indulge in the restaurant’s Happy Hour, daily 5-6:30 p.m. Stand-outs on the menu include the Mini Prime Filet of Beef “Wellington,” Baked Garlic Shrimp with Artichoke and Escargot a la Hy’s. Pair it all with a Hy’s Old Fashioned, seasonal cocktail or a glass of Hy’s “Private Reserve” Merlot, Pedroncelli.

Of course, even though these aren’t on the Hour menu, the perfect sweet ending to any meal at Hy’s is either a Bananas Foster or Cherries Jubilee—prepared tableside!
