Thousands gathered at Queen’s Surf Beach in Waikiki last September for CBS’ Sunset on the Beach premiere event celebrating Season Five and the 100th episode of “Hawaii Five-0.”

As the show’s cast arrived on the red carpet, many took the time to meet with fans, including Grace Park (Kono Kalakaua) who looked stunning in this gown with a plunging neckline by Versace. Daniel Dae Kim (Chin Ho Kelly) even tore his custom tailored Prada suit when he leaped the barricades to greet fans.

Adding to the excitement, the premiere was followed by a special musical guest performance by the multi-platinum selling rock band Bush.

Filmed on O‘ahu, viewers may recognize many scenes taped right here in Waikiki, including at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Waikiki Beach, Wailana

Coffee House, Ilikai Hotel, Kalakaua Avenue and more. Here, Waikiki magazine catches up with some of the show’s stars.

For Alex O’Loughlin (Steve McGarrett), his favorite place around Waikiki is his Diamond Head home, which he shares with wife surfer/model/designer Malia Jones and their children. The couple, who met through mutual friends, tied the knot on O‘ahu last April. Looking very dapper in this Dior Homme suit, Alex says he’s usually dressed pretty casual in shorts, T-shirts and flip flops.

The consensus among fashion editors on the red carpet was that the best-dressed for the night was Scott Caan (Danny ‘Danno’ Williams) who put this look together himself. He has on a Panama hat he picked up in Chinatown, Gitman Bros. shirt, Band of Outsiders pants and

Pierre Cardin shoes. Surely, he made girlfriend, stylist Kacy Byxbee who is part of the wardrobe team for “Hawaii Five-0,” proud. “She usually does” help with my wardrobe,” but she didn’t help me out with this one,” he notes.

Local girl 13-year-old Teilor Grubbs (Grace Williams) chose this navy Ralph Lauren dress and Forever 21 necklace for the red carpet, along with BCBG wedges which was extra special because it was the first year that dad Erik let her wear wedges. She says her favorite thing to do in Waikiki is going to the beach and hanging out at Walls (a popular bodyboarding spot) with her family.

Jorge Garcia (Jerry Ortega), who lived on O‘ahu during six seasons of the Emmyand Golden Globe Award-winning TV series “Lost,” has found his way back to the Island as a “Hawaii Five-0” regular playing a former classmate of Chin Ho Kelly’s and the island’s local conspiracy theorist. For his first Sunset on the Beach red carpet, he wore this Luchiano Visconti button-up shirt from local retailer Big & Tall by Kramer’s on Ward Avenue. “It’s pretty much the store people my size shop at,” he shares.

This also was Ian Anthony Dale’s (Adam Noshimuri) first “Hawaii Five-0” Sunset on the Beach event. “I had no idea what to expect,” he says. “It’s a little overwhelming.” Ian, who wore a suit by Spanish designer Purificacion Garcia and a Hugo Boss shirt, still lives in Los Angeles but comes to Hawai‘i five or six times a year for filming. As for his favorite spots in and near Waikiki, he lists Morimoto, MW Restaurant, Bernini, and the Mai Tai Bar in Ala Moana Center.
