Urban Outfitters brings metro panache to Honolulu.

Thumbs up this News Feed update, Waikiki fans: Urban Outfitters has officially arrived! Unabashedly trendy, quirky and a little naughty, the eclectic, Philly-based label transplanted to the Pacific with the grand opening of its Waikiki store in November. Urban’s two-story, 13,000-square-foot venue at Hyatt Waikiki’s Pualeilani Atrium Shops marks the lifestyle brand’s big break on the islands as its first Hawai‘i location. “We spent months customizing our assortment and creating a store environment that feels unique to the area,” states John Hauser, chief officer of brand experience. “In addition to carrying a range of women’s and men’s apparel, we have an extensive vintage collection, a music shop, Without Walls activewear and a collection of custom products by independent designers and local makers.”

Urban Outfitters strives to mirror the culture surrounding its stores. Thus, the Waikiki storefront is composed of local, indigenous koa wood, and the second floor boasts picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean. “We look forward to bringing our unique point of view on fashion and lifestyle to Hawai‘i,” Hauser adds. Whether you favor boho threads, punk albums or novelty coffee table books, Urban’s hip collection packs a “Like This” punch.
