Boat Days Exhibit

Before the days of daily non-stop flights, there were Boat Days, when visitor arrivals were an event and traveling on the S.S. Lurline was as much an experience as the time one spent in Waikiki. The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection has partnered with Matson Navigation Company to present an exhibit that celebrates this bygone era. The rare collection of photographs features the S.S. Lurline, the Hula Boat Day greetings of passengers and The Royal Hawaiian Band playing at Aloha Tower, Royal Hawaiian luggage tags Matson travel posters and more.
